ABOUT WEGAD Directory
The WEGAD Directory is a catalogue of all stakeholders, available resources and support for players in the Women Empowerment, Gender & Development Sector in Ghana. The maiden edition of the directory will be published in the 1st quarter of 2019 and it will capture relevant information on the various organizations, initiatives and resources available in the sector. The WEGAD directory aims to be the ultimate go to resource for comprehensive data on all stakeholders in the sector in Ghana and eventually Africa.ABOUT WEGAD Report
WEGAD Report is an annual report on stakeholders, activities, policies and impact of players in the Women Empowerment, Gender and Development Sector in Ghana. The Report will capture organizations, programs and initiatives focused on women empowerment, gender and development in Ghana. The Report will serve as a form of monitoring and evaluation of the performance and impact of various players in the WEGAD Sector including but now limited to Government Agencies, policies and programs, NGOs, Civil Societies, Gender Advocates, Charities, Religious Bodies, Social Enterprises, Companies and their CSR programs.The WEGAD report will examine the progress made by the various stakeholders in the fulfillment of SDG Goals 1, 5, 10, and 17 which in summary are Ending poverty in all its forms everywhere, Achieving gender equality and empower all women and girls, reducing inequality within and among countries and Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing global partnerships for sustainable development.
The WEGAD report aims to capture the activities of players in all 16 regions in Ghana and beyond.
WEGAD Report has the following objectives:
- To highlight the various players and stakeholders in the Women Empowerment, Gender & Development Sector.
- To describe the status quo of Women Empowerment & Gender Equality in Ghana.
- To review impact of policies, interventions and activities of various stakeholders.
- To highlight relevant resources and support for players in the WEGAD Sector.
- To applaud tremendous achievements of players in the sector in Ghana and beyond.
